Why Was Surya Killed By Lord Shiva?

Shiva is one of the principle Hindu Gods who is significantly adored by Hindus, as well as by individuals of different beliefs all around the globe. He is likewise one of the most established Gods and has been said various circumstances in Hindu sacred writings.

There are a few stories identified with Lord Shiva which highlight his status as the God of Gods. We are all acquainted with his few appearances and their awesome reason. Occurrences like Daksha Yagna, Tripura kanda and Samudra manthan are scratched for all time in our memory.

However there are likewise a few uncommon legends related with Lord Shiva, which are maybe not known too all. One such uncommon story is the executing of Surya, and the restoration of his life.
Why Did Lord Shiva Kill Suryadev –

1. Once there were two wickedness devils called Mali and Sumali who were causing disarray on earth. They were to a great degree effective because of a help from Lord Shiva.

2. Suryadev, the Sun God was very aggravated by the turmoil these evil spirits were causing. Those two Asuras kidnapped Chaya the wife of Surya Deva and Mother of Shani. So he chose to assault and slaughter them.

3. In any case, in light of the fact that these evil presences were awesome bhakts of Lord Shiva (who was happy with their devoted retribution) , he assaulted Suryadev with his Trishul. Suryadev kicked the bucket from the assault and the whole Universe went into finish dimness.

4. Rishi Kashyap, who was the father of Suryadev was amazingly disheartened by his child's sudden demise and realized that it was Lord Shiva's blame. He reviled Lord Shiva that his future child as well, beyond words lamentable demise.

5. Master Shiva understood the gravity of the circumstance and Suryadev's life was reestablished. Be that as it may, Kashyap's revile frequented Lord Shiva for quite a while. Later he himself guillotined and murdered Lord Ganesh and the revile was at last over.

NOTE: Some reference said that Once Surya Deva showed he the most powerful Deva in the world. Without Him whole world is priceless. Then His son Shani Deva tried to calm Him and not present Him as great than Lord Shiva. But Surya Deva was so angry that time. Even he stopped his work to give light to the world. Without Surya Light whole world was going to dark space and Asuras are getting powerful. Than Shani put a Rudraksha on the Surya Planet and worshiped to Lord Shiva. Than the Rdraksha give most brighter light than Surya Light. Then Devraj Indra suspended Surya Deva from Divinity and Surya came to a Jangal and He saw two person who worshiped to Lord Shiva. Then Surya tried to kill those two Asuras Mali and Sumali. But they had a boon from Shiva that who would tried to kill them Shiva will totally destroy him. Thats why Shiva killed Surya for attacking to the Asuras. After geting this news to Surya's father Rishi Kashyppo cursed Shiva, Oneday The Trishul will kill Shiva's son.

Other Story and Reference
1. Suryadev was furious on King Vrisadhvaja (father of Tulas) for overlooking different Gods and just worshiping Shiva and reviled him that he word lose all his riches and success. At the point when Shiva heard this revile he got irate on Suryadev for reviling his most noteworthy aficionado and kept running behind him to slaughter him. On this Suryadev got perplexed and alongside his dad Kasyapa went to Vaikuntha. Due to being apprehensive and with all the dread their throat began drying out (this is the place surya was going to bite the dust), they went to the incomparable god Narayana and he conceded them abhaya (no dread).

2. The account of Shiva (incidentally) murdering Surya the sun god is told in the Ganesha Khanda of the Brahma Vaivarta Purana. (See page 349 here.) As I examine in this answer, a standout amongst the most conspicuous incarnations of Vishnu in old circumstances was the sage Narayana, child of Yama divine force of death and twin sibling of the wise Nara. (Nara and Narayana were the prevous births of Arjuna and Krishna.) For any situation, in the Brahma Vaivarta Purana's record, the sage Narada gets some information about the introduction of Ganesha, and after that he solicits how the remover from obstructions could have endured such a major impediment as losing his own particular head:

In the event that Ganesha is Vighnahara or Vighnesha, that is, the person who expels all obstacles, how came he to acquire an obstruction? Why did he have his take hacked off?

Narayana reacts that it was because of a revile that Shiva had brought about. When Surya the sun god attempted to execute the fiendishness Rakshasas (devils) Mali and Sumali. Be that as it may, these Rakshasas were enthusiasts of Shiva, so Shiva acted the hero, penetrating Surya with his trident and (briefly) slaughtering him. The Sun quickly went dull, and the sage Kashyapa, Surya's dad, was angry. (Kashyapa is the child of Marichi, one of the mind-conceived children of Brahma, and Surya is one of the Adityas, the children of Kashyapa and his significant other Aditi.) Shiva reestablished Surya's life to conciliate Kashyapa, however Kashyapa still put a revile on Shiva that he would slaughter his own particular child similarly as he had murdered Kashyapa's child:

Mali and Sumali were two evil spirits who were given to Shiva. The sun-god Surya disliked the devils and was going to execute them. The evil spirits appealed to Shiva and Shiva mediated. He hit Surya with a trident and this made the whole world dive into obscurity. Surya was the sage Kashyapa's child thus for this demonstration, Kashyapa reviled Shiva. "Similarly as you punctured my child's trunk with a trident, your child's take will be cleaved off one day," said Kashyapa.

Coincidentally, as I talk about in this answer, the Rakshasa Sumali had a little girl named Kaikeshi, who wedded the sage Vishravas. Together they had a few kids, including Ravana, Kumbakarna, and Vibhishana. So it's conceivable that if Shiva had enabled Surya to execute Sumali, Ravana may never have been conceived!

One note of alert: references to Ganesha in antiquated Hindu sacred text are few and far between, since Ganesha just rose to ubiquity later on, so there is a probability this might be an introduction in the Brahma Vaivarta Purana. (I bring a comparable issue up in my answer here concerning an entry in the Shiva Purana.)

Killing of Mali & Sumali
The account of Lanka is depicted in detail in the Uttara Kanda of the Ramayana. (The connections in my answer connect to various passages from the Uttara Kanda.) There were three Rakshasa (devil) siblings named Sumali, Mali, and Malyavan who acquired a shelter of strength from Brahma and afterward told the celestial designer Vishwakarma, "Erect a chateau for us looking like the manor itself of Maheshwara [i.e. Shiva]." So on the island mountain Suvela, Vishwakarma "construct[ed] a city of Lanka there, having a region of thirty yojanas, and measuring a hundred (sic) long; encompassed by a brilliant divider and outfitted with brilliant entryways ... having a solid divider and a channel, possessing large amounts of many brilliant structures". In any case, at that point Vishnu vanquished the three siblings, executing Mali and driving Sumali, Malyavan, and their Rakshasa companions away to Patalaloka (the netherworld). Since Lanka was deserted by the Rakshasas, when Kubera child of the sage Vishravas was made the lord of riches, he moved into Lanka at his dad's proposal.

Later on, the devil Sumali I said before got his girl Kaikeshi hitched to Kubera's dad Vishravas, and they had numerous kids including Ravana. Ravana got a help of close invulnerability from Brahma, so at his granddad Sumali's encouraging he endeavored to retake Lanka for the Rakshasas. At the point when Kubera heard that his stepbrother Ravana needed to move into Lanka, he was glad to make them say, this:

My dad had offered [Lanka] to me, when it had been exhausted of Rakshasas; and ... I have possessed this place, outfitted with philanthropy, respect, and different temperances ... [A]s this city and kingdom are mine, so they are thine, O powerful outfitted one. Do thou appreciate this kingdom without an enemy. May my kingdom and riches never experience division when thou workmanship show.

Be that as it may, Ravana wasn't willing to share the kingdom; he needed it only for him and his kindred Rakshasas, so Kubera at his dad's recommendation relinquished Lanka and went to the Himalayas. That is the means by which Lanka came to be under Ravana's ownership. (In opposition to prevalent thinking Ravana did not battle Kubera over Lanka; like I said he got Lanka without a battle. The fight between them happened later, when Ravana was assaulting everybody under the sun in his endeavor to assume control over the three universes. It was amid that fight that Ravana vanquished Kubera and took the Pushpaka Vimana.)
